Austin Health is one of Victoria's largest providers of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.


An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our Fundraising team. 


The position is a 6-month contract, with the possibility for extension.  We are open to considering full time and part time should you be the right candidate.


Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, the Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator will assess and manage all community fundraising events and activities run by members of the community in support of Austin Health and the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre.


The role will further; 

  • Assist community fundraising groups participating in our featured third party events and signature fundraising event, The Wellness Walk and Research Run to raise funds, generate and increase support and awareness
  • Support a range of existing fundraising and donor recognition projects and events


Essential Knowledge and skills;

  • Experience within the fundraising space is highly desirable; however we would strongly consider those coming from an event planning, marketing and/or community services background.
  • Demonstrated experience in securing and supporting community groups or individuals to fundraise
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and undertake some travel
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and managing a diverse portfolio of opportunities
