An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Clinical Psychologist (P4 ongoing 0.8 Part Time) to join the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry team.

The Grade 4 Clinical Psychologist provides a key clinical role within Consultant Liaison Psychiatry. Responsibilities include clinical assessment and evidence-based interventions for patients across Austin Health medical wards. This position also contributes to service delivery through: (1) providing assessment and management of mental health conditions for referred medical and surgical patients, (2) providing advice upon request for the mental health needs of general hospital patients, (3) providing psychological assessment and short-term evidence-based psychological therapies to the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic for patients who are able to be treated in a community setting, (4) secondary consultations requiring liaison with medical consultants and other hospital staff, (5) staff supervision, and (6) student supervision for the postgraduate student cohort who are on placement.  A detailed list of key responsibilities is listed on the Position Description.
