An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our Hospital in the Home 

Details of Department

Hospital in the Home offers eligible Austin inpatients continued treatment in their home appropriate facility. They will remain an inpatient of the Austin, but be able to receive care in a patient centred way, which improves outcomes for the person, and provides benefits to flow in the organisation

The Residential In-reach Service (RIR) provides acute assessment and short term management in residential facilities to prevent hospital admissions. The model improves planning for adverse clinical events. It outlines a process to improve communication and support for residential aged care facility staff and GPs caring for acutely unwell residents

Details of position/position requirements

The Hospital in the Home Pharmacy technician must set priorities for work to meet the operational demands within the HITH and RIR services.

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate/Key responsibilities will include:

Have a understanding of the requirement of the Hospital in the Home and Residental in Reach program

great written and verbal comminication skills

Ability to work in a constantly changing environment

Selection Criteria Essential: understanding of Microsoft office
Essential: knowledge of word, outlook and excel
Desirable: understanding of cerner and track care
Desirable: understanding of WPR for ordering of stock and equipment maintenance
