Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Pharmacy Analyst to join our EMR The department provides a wide range of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Services to Austin Health staff. ICT and EMR Services is grouped into the following functional streams:

  • ICT Services
  • Infrastructure Services
  • Application, Integration Services
  • Strategy Engagement and Project Services
  • EMR services

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate/Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide day-to-day support and monitoring on the EMR Service Desk queue as per roster. The EMR Service Desk operates on weekdays from 7.30am till 5:30pm daily, Monday to Friday. Shift coverage will also be required on the weekends from 8.00am to 4.30pm depending on demand.
  • Address the different learning needs across all clinical staff and shifts; encompassing, night staff learning and weekend staff upon demand
  • Participate in on call roster, which provides after hours support to Austin Health staff. This infers compliance with on call policy.
  • Perform testing tasks relevant to Cerner Millennium Clinical System enhancements
  • Consult key stakeholders in the development of new processes, business rules and policies to ensure the system can support the operational needs of the Austin Health clinical staff
  • Delivery of ICT & EMR training programs and milestone reporting.
  • Review and improve the existing training resources and delivery.
  • Liaise with ICT & EMR staff to ensure the projects fit within the current standards and requirements to meet the needs for the organisation.
  • Ensure documentation is updated regularly and available electronic on the HUB and ATLAS.
  • Serve as an expert resource and communication liaison for EMR Services as required
  • Perform special tasks or functions that go beyond the day-to-day activities of the EMR Services as required
  • Assist the ICT & EMR Education/Change manager with planning and facilitating all change initiatives for a new system implementation or upgrade.
