Position Summary

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Research Fellow to join our Cancer Clinical Trials Centre and Clinical Haematology Unit in 2019.

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre has been established at the Austin Health to provide a holistic approach to cancer treatment and care, wellness and research within a state of the art comprehensive cancer centre. The Cancer Centre is responsible for inpatient medical oncology and clinical haematology, ambulatory medical oncology and clinical haematology, palliative medicine and radiation oncology. The Cancer Clinical Trials Centre has over 200 trials and is a vibrant and growing unit. Incorporated within the ONJ Centre are strong undergraduate and post graduate teaching programs.

Applications are sought from trainees or Clinical Haematologists for the Clinical Trials Research Fellow positions at Austin Health (2 positions are available). These positions will commence February 2019 for a period of at least 12 months (longer term positions of 24 months can be considered for candidates after appropriate discussion). The position is suitable for a third year trainee or junior consultant.
