Position Summary

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Do you have Health Care Sector IT application support experience, or worked in Desktop/Field Support and looking for a more challenging role?

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Application and Integration Officer to join our Application and Integration Services Group on a 12 month fixed term contract.  As a member of the team, the roles responsibilities include:

  • Manage and support the Patient Administration System (PAS)
  • Support the integration of the PAS and the EMR systems to other systems and departmental applications using JCAPS and Rhapsody.
  • Installation and configuration of software
  • Ability to work as a member of a team (team player) with limited supervision and in a team environment of high work volume and conflicting priorities

Direct experience in a similar role would be well regarded, but is not essential.  We are looking for people who are: 

  • Bright and energetic, able to navigate changing and complex environments
  • Experience in providing high level end-user support in the Health Services sector
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt to new software applications as they are introduced to the hospital
  • A willingness to understand hospital processes
  • Strong customer service ethic and problem solving skills
