Position Summary

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced RPN4 lead clinician to join our Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC)  Service.

PARC

Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) is part of the Adult Mental Health Service. PARC can be described as step up from community and step down from acute inpatient unit.

Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) services are short-term (maximum 28 days),residential treatment services located in the community, which have a  recovery focus. PARC services provide early intervention for clients who are becoming unwell and for those in the early stages of recovery.

RPN4 lead clinician role sits within the Adult Mental Health Service Directorate and provides temporary residential, recovery focused mental health intervention for persons residing in Banyule and Nillumbik. PARC provides services through a collaborative partnership with an NGO and is serviced 24hrs, with Lead Clinicians working from 0830-1700hrs across 7 days.

The successful applicant is responsible for ensuring the delivery of evidence based mental health nursing care that meets professional, organisational, legal and ethical standards in order to optimise health outcomes for the community. Specifically, the role undertakes this by providing effective oversight of the daily clinical operations of PARC, and uses their clinical expertise to provide clinical guidance and direction within the Recovery Oriented Framework.
