Position Summary

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Registered Nurse to join our COVID-19 Screening services. 

The Registered Nurse COVID-19 Screening Services will work closely with the nursing and allied health team to provide consumer focused service to all staff, patients, visitors and contractors attending any of the Austin Health campuses.

Your role will be to work across a number of areas within the COVID 19 screening service including at times in the screening clinic, in the call centre and entry at screening points across all campuses.

Whilst working in the clinic and call centre, your role is to assess and swab patients who present for COVID 19 swabbing and provide information in line with DHHS recommendations.

When working at entry screening points, you will provide calm and clear assistance to all visiting groups through the Austin Health screening stations, providing masks and hand hygiene, directions and information and support with accessing and completing the mobile device or hardcopy registration platforms.
