The Division provides catchment-based area mental health services, in addition to a number of regional and state-wide specialty services.

The Mental Health Division supports the rights of consumers to receive treatment in the least restrictive environment possible and delivers care which is consistent with the objectives of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014 and the National Standards for Mental Health Services.
