Position Summary

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our ward 6 South team.

Ward 6 South is a dual 32 bed cancer and urology ward, located within the Olivia Nedwton John Cancer Wellness and Reseatch Centre at Austin Health.  The unit benefits from various Wellness programs ran out of the Wellness Centre, catering to the holistic needs of cancer patients and their families.  Patients with solid tumour malignancies receive treatment within the unit across all stages of their disease.

The urology team provides care to patients with malignant and non malignant genitourinary issues including bladder reconstructions, stone removals and hydoceles.

6 South is an acute inpatient ward providing care to patients 7 days/week across all hours.  As such this position is available to part time and full time applicatants who are available for day, evening and night shift.

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate commitment to patient centred care, an interest in oncology/urology nursing
