An exciting permanent, part time opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist (G2) to join the Transitional Support Unit in the Mental Health Division.

The Transitional Support Unit (TSU) is a specialist, statewide 13 bed mental health unit providing therapeutic support and recovery focused residential rehabilitation to people with an experience of mental illness and an intellectual or cognitive disability.

This is a unique opportunity for an occupational therapist to support clients with long term recovery goals in a specialist slow stream rehabilitation setting. The TSU multidisciplinary team focus on enabling and enhancing living skills, to improve mental health outcomes and assist clients to live the lives they want to lead.

Seeking a motivated applicant with:

A keen interest in providing recovery oriented, person centred mental health support

Experience in providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions

Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team, sharing clinical expertise

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to effectively collaborate with external service providers, regularly liaising and coordinating care with NDIS support coordinators and providers as part of active, ongoing discharge planning
