Position Summary

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An opportunity exists for a Senior Clinician to join our Nutrition and Dietetics team at Austin Health.

About the role

The Grade 3 clinician will be a recognised clinical expert, carry a clinical caseload and provide clinical leadership in their designated area of clinical responsibility which will include renal nutrition.

The Grade 3 Senior Clinician will assume responsibility for leading the Specialist Medicine team of dietitians within the dietetics department.

The Grade 3 clinician will in conjunction with the Manager, and the broader Senior Leadership team (grade 3 and 4 clinicians) take a leading role in department planning and development, strategic planning, quality business planning, policy review and development ensuring that the clinical service is aligned with organisational objectives, professional standards and ethics.

Eligibility

Must be qualified to practice as a Dietitian in Australia, as recognised by the Dietitians Association of Australia, and meet the requirements of the APD program.

Must have a minimum of 7 years clinical experience.
