 Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Rehabilitation Medicine Physician in Medical Education to join the team at Rehabilitation Medicine Training Victoria (RMTV).

Details of Department

 RMTV is an initiative of the AFRM Victorian branch, funded by the state Dept of Health, established to develop, co-ordinate, deliver and oversee the Rehab Medicine training program in Victoria. The team consists of a part-time Director of Training, a VMO (this position) and a medical education officer, and the program is highly regarded both locally and around Australia.

Details of position/position requirements

This 0.2 EFT (7.0hrs per week) Fixed Term position is based at Royal Talbot Rehab Centre in Kew, and will suit a doctor with AFRM Fellowship and an interest/qualifications in education and training

Key responsibilities will include:

 Assisting the Director of Training and MEO with development and implementation of the Victorian Training program, program evaluation, resourcing and stakeholder liaison. The successful appointee may also be required to provide clinical support at the Royal Talbot campus from time to time.  See PD for further detail.
