Administration Assistant

5 weeks Fixed Term (Long Service Leave Cover)

38 hours per week (Job share may be considered)

This position is for a high level Administrative Assistant to the Professor/Director of Psychology for her work in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology and Clinical and Health Psychology Services at Austin Health (TAPS, MH Division) as well as with the University of Melbourne and Parent-Infant Research Institute

This role requires liaison with a large number of staff, students and external agencies, as well as managing patient enquiries, including by telephone. Familiarity with hospital databases and hospital appointment processes (e.g. recruitment requests and variations) is required as well as the ability to manage administrative tasks needed to support the large complement of staff who report to the Professor/Director.

An essential skill is familiarity with psychological documents and the ability to work at an advanced level on a large number of submissions, emails and documents often with short timelines. Familiarity with research and budgetary tasks are required. Excellent skills in computer, time management, organizational and liaison skills and multi-tasking are also essential.
