Position Summary

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Clinical Psychologist G2 to join our Community Rehabilitation Services Team, Health Independence Program.

This is a 16hrs/week permanent part-time position.

Our Rehab Services team is a large interdisciplinary team providing home and centre based therapy to a broad range of patient populations. This dynamic position may be based across both Repatriation and Royal Talbot Campuses.

To be successful in this role you must have: 

• An appropriate post graduate degree in Clinical Psychology.

• Current registration with the AHPRA Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement, or working towards endorsement, as a Clinical Psychologist.

• Demonstrated experience to provide psychological assessments and interventions for people with a range of conditions, including neurological, chronic and complex conditions.

• High level interpersonal skills that promote team development and engagement, and a proven ability to relate to people at all levels within an organization.

• Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice and ability to translate this in to practice

• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and as an independent clinician

• Demonstrated experience to liaise with external agencies and to implement appropriate community referrals to relevant service providers 

• High level written and verbal skills.
