Position Summary

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Pool is recruiting highly experienced Health Care Worker on a 1 year fixed term contract  with full time and part-time positions available. Successful applicants will possess a patient centre approach to care delivery and enjoy the challenge of working in a variety of medical and surgical wards. Austin Pool health care workers are an important part of the organisation. 

The successful applicant will need to:

  • Work to a centrally managed roster that is coordinated by the Nursing Workforce Unit. 
  • Have the flexibility to work within a rotating roster across a variety of clinical settings.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills.
  • Successful completion of a minimum qualification or equivalent - Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and/or Home and Community Care) CHC33015 or Health Services Assistance HLT33115.
  • Have a minimum of 6 months experience.
  • Have Australian working rights.
  • Provide a minimum of 2 clinical references.

Selection Criteria Essential: Hold a Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Ageing and/or Home and Community Care) or Health Services Assistance
Essential: Be available to work a rotating roster across AM, PM and ND shifts 7 days per week
Essential: Have a minimum 6 Months experience working as a HCW / PCA in the Australian Healthcare sector
