About Molecular Imaging & Therapy

The Department of Molecular Imaging and Therapy (MIT) has four SPECT/CT gamma cameras, three PET/CT scanners, one cyclotron and extensive physics and chemistry support and research facilities. Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital has the Bone Mineral Densitometry service and is served by two DEXA Scanning systems. The successful applicant will rotate between general Nuclear Medicine and PET/Therapy. Clinical duties and rosters will be shared between both Nuclear Medicine Registrars. Regular tutorials will be provided.

About the role:

You will work as an integral member of the Department, using best practice in Nuclear Medicine, PET and Therapy service with due regard to administered doses of radiation. A close association with referrers to the Department will be a priority, as will participation with other medical and departmental staff.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Be eligible for advanced training accreditation by the Committee for Joint College Training (CJCT) of the RACP and RANZCR
  • Be registered as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
