Position Summary
  • Ongoing part time and full time Registered Nurse Grade 2 position
  • 0.6-1.0 EFT (multiple positions available)

About Mary Guthrie House:

A unique, state-wide multi-component neuropsychiatry unit providing individualised, slow stream recovery support to adults with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or neurodegenerative condition, and associated mental illness, including responsive behaviours. The unit has a neuropsychiatric rehabilitation focus, working collaboratively with consumers to improve and maintain functional independence and to live their best life, as they define it. 

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to work within a specialist neuropsychiatry unit as part of a supportive, dedicated multi-disciplinary team.

A regular day will see you:

  • Work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers and key stakeholders 
  • Contribute social work expertise within the mulitdisciplinary team 
  • Actively liaise with community service providers and coordinate care to support consumer engagement with community and discharge planning 
  • Contribute to ongoing evaluation and improvement initiatives and portfolio work, in collaboration with leadership

About you:

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in Mental Health
  • A keen interest in working in a specialist neuropsychiatry unit
  • APHRA registration
