The Emergency Department is one of the busiest adult and paediatric facilities in metropolitan Melbourne providing care to 90,000 patients per annum.  Austin Health manages several state-wide and specialist services such as liver transplantation and toxicology with emergency staff highly skilled in managing an interesting and diverse case mix.   A busy 20 bed Short Stay Unit is associated with the department, and provides efficient healthcare to approximately 40% of the ED patients who require a short period of inpatient care

Requirements:

• Post graduate qualification in critical care nursing (Emergency)
• Recent Emergency Department experience
• Current Division 1 registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Commitment to rotating flexible 24/7 roster
• Passionate about delivering outstanding patient centred care
• A commitment to continuing professional development to advance nursing practice
