The Speech Pathology Department is a dynamic team of 45+ Speech Pathologists and Allied Health Assistants working across multiple hospital sites who come together on a regular basis in person or via Teams to collaborate, learn together from experts in the field and share knowledge and skills with one another. 

This role is based primarily on our Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital site and is one of two clinical lead roles overseeing the provision of services to our Aged Care Wards and Better@Home Program.

A regular day will see you:

  • support and mentor Grade 1 and Grade 2 Speech Pathologists and Allied Health Assistants
  • provide direct clinical services to patients, working closely with the Multidisciplinary team 
  • represent the Speech Pathology Department on various forums

  • Advanced clinical skills in assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders for adults
