Our Emergency Department is at the forefront of new and innovative models of emergency care, and is a contemporary leader in emergency medicine education and research.  We have a strong focus on nurse development and upskilling opportunities with both a Transition to Specialty Practice Program and Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing offered each year.  We are a close knit and caring team who invest in building up our colleagues with peer support, wellness initiatives and work/life balance.

About the role:

As a Registered Nurse within our ED and Short Stay Unit you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of evidence-based nursing care, in order to optimise health outcomes for the community, within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

  • Achieve and maintain the skills necessary, through personal professional development, to plan, prioritise and implement holistic patient care

About you:

You will be someone who understands that you can be the best part of a person’s worst day, and approach each new patient with a commitment to progressing their care.  You’ll thrive on the variety and challenge of working in one of Melbourne's busiest ED’s, and be looking to grow as a nurse and as a person on the healthcare frontline.

You’ll further have:

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse registration, Division 1
  • A Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing
  • A minimum of 5 years Emergency Nursing Experience
  • Have the ability to care for critically ill patients in the Resusciation Rooms
